Two people. Two continents. One project.

Dan Perales is from San Jose, California -

 raised on Luther Ave, Race and San Carlos, raised in baja hoodies and backwoods, Nintendo and Bay Area rap. 

Ali is from Kazakhstan

 a producer who started making lofi beats and ended up building sonic worlds out of trills, rattles, calls, and a cat purring. Blended with funky baselines.

They found each other on Fiverr. Neither of them planned what it became.

The Psychadelic Shorty is a 20-song journey across four volumes — bilingual, psychedelic, Bay-rooted, and brutally honest. It moves the way a trip moves. Vol. 1 is the arrival. Vol. 2 is when... Vol. 3 is the... you can’t escape. Vol. 4 is when...out the other side.

Dan brings the words, the memories, the politics, the humor, the confession. Ali brings the sound — organic, textured, alive in ways that most producers would have said no to.

Together they made something neither of them could have made alone.

That’s the whole story. The rest is in the music.
